Live performance is to me the most important part of my music. I love the edge; having to come up with something in the heat of the moment, something born of my connection to the atmosphere of the venue. I respond to the mood of the audience; if you seem to be enjoying it I feel tremendously empowered, and often surprise myself with new musical ideas that seem to come from nowhere. Maybe they are coming from you; who can say?My shows feature my own songs, and the instrumental sections tend to be improvised. I could not be described as a cover act, although I do play personalized versions of certain favourites such as Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits and a flamenco-influenced take on Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones .
